499 Essential Publishing Tips for a Penny Apiece:

what you need to know to write, publish and sell better e-books and printed books  [e-books]

Michael N. Marcus

(from the publisher) This e-book provides expert advice to help you choose a topic and title, write, edit, design and market high-quality printed books and e-books. Most of the information will help all writers, whether they form their own publishing companies, use self-publishing companies or have contracts with traditional publishing companies.
The book  will replace the "199 Tips" book. It's bigger, more up-to-date, and better in many ways. It has more material about e-books, setting up a publishing business, social networks, plus color illustrations and photographs, and hyperlinks.
The author, Michael N. Marcus, has been writing and editing professionally for over 40 years. In 2008, he decided to form his own publishing company and planned to publish exactly one book. It turned out that writing and publishing were addictive and he published over 20 books -- and more are on the way. This book shares what Michael learned, and his enthusiasm.
NOTE: There are nearly 1,000 tips in this book, plus valuable information that’s not in tip form. We had to choose a title before Michael finished writing and 499 seemed to be a good number. Each tip costs you much less than a penny, and the book could save you many hundreds of dollars and many hours of time.
